Welcome to MWT Australia
MWT Australia(MWTA), a subsidiary of HCI Australia along with IHNA and IHM, offers the AHPRA Registered Nurse Traineeship Pathway.
Features:
- This program is designed for international graduates holding a Diploma of Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing with AHPRA registration as ENS or RNs. Registered ENs and RNs can work in their qualified roles under a Traineeship Visa (Subclass 407) for up to two years, gaining valuable work experience and furthering their professional development in hospitals and aged care settings.
- Overseas nursing candidates who are working towards their AHPRA registration as RNs are also eligible for this pathway and can be employed as Assistants in Nursing or Personal Care Workers while completing their registration process.
- The program offers workplace-based training to enhance clinical skills, improve job readiness, and provide a structured pathway to long-term career success in the Australian healthcare sector. This initiative not only addresses the workforce needs of the healthcare industry but also offers a clear visa solution for internationally qualified nurses aiming to establish their careers in Australia.
Why Choose Us
For Hospitals and Aged Care
- Fills RN, EN, and AIN/PCA positions, especially in regional areas by attracting international talent willing to relocate to regional areas. High-quality ENs, RNs, and AINS/PCAs can work in regional facilities of hospitals/aged care, with cost benefits and no risk.
- Increased staff retention through extended visa pathways for International Nurses: Traineeship visa > Employer Sponsored/GSM Visa Options > Permanent Residency
- Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT) and SAF Levy charges are not applicable for Traineeship visas compared to employer-sponsored visa options.
- The 407-visa pathway does not lock hospitals/aged care into 482 sponsorships, and nurses on the 407 visa with EN/RN registration may perform all of the duties within their scope of registration and could work on any shifts/roster based on the operational requirements.
For International Nurses
- Gains necessary work experience on a traineeship visa
- Visa applicants can include members of the family unit in their visa application
- Qualifies for employer-sponsored visas (Subclass 482, 494, 186) or General Skilled Migration visas (Subclass 491, 189, 190) after the traineeship program.
- Career Progression: Upon completing the traineeship, candidates can apply for further visas to continue their career within hospitals/aged care.
Traineeship Visa(Subclass 407)
- Provides a 2-year visa with working rights for international nursing graduates with AHPRA registration and also for overseas RNs working towards obtaining their AHPRA registration.
